Standing 6 meters tall, it replaced an earlier square wooden tower. The structure is white with a red roof and features three black horizontal bands. Its light emits two white, red, or green flashes every 8 seconds, with the color changing depending on the direction of approach. The geographic range of the light is 8.4 nautical miles. The nearest port is Tromso, 9.2 km away.
