The Gjerrild Lighthouse, a white cylindrical tower with a lantern and gallery, stands 11 meters tall and was built in 1946. It was first lit in the same year, though a station has been present since 1895. Its focal height reaches 27 meters above sea level, providing a geographic range of 14.7 nautical miles. The structure is located on the east side of Nordstrand, near Gjerrild in the Norddjurs Municipality. It emits four white or green flashes every 20 seconds, with the color changing based on the observer's position.
