This lighthouse was built in 1965 and first lit the same year. It is a white, 8.5-meter concrete post attached to a 1-story concrete equipment shelter. The structure stands 10 meters above sea level and emits a green flash every 8 seconds. Located at the end of the Fukuura breakwater on the west side of Hikoshima in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, it marks the harbor entrance. The lighthouse has a geographic range of 10.4 nautical miles and is operational. While the site is open to the public, the tower itself is closed.
