Built in 1966, this concrete lighthouse stands 13 meters tall with its light at a focal height of 12 meters. Its cylindrical tower is painted white with a single red horizontal band. Originally placed to aid navigation near the Öresund Bridge Tunnel, it was relocated in 1999 about 7.5 kilometers south-southeast. This move better positioned it to mark the southwestern entrance to the Flintrännan, a passage approximately 6 kilometers southwest of the bridge tunnel. The light emits two white flashes in a WRG sequence every 8 seconds, offering a geographic range of 11 nautical miles.
Why it matters: This lighthouse is indispensable for safe passage into the Flintrännan, guiding vessels via its southwestern approach. Its directional lights provide critical navigational information for the complex channels near the Öresund Bridge Tunnel.
