The Diélette Feu Postérieur light was first lit in 1876 from the upper window of a keeper's house. This 1-1/2 story structure was built in the same year. The light served as the rear range light, situated 466 meters behind its front counterpart. This positioning helped guide vessels approaching the harbor at Diélette. The light remained operational for over a century. It was deactivated in the late 1990s when the front light was updated to a sector light.
