A 25-meter-high square skeletal tower, painted with red and white horizontal bands, marks the inner bar at the entrance to Chittagong Port. This navigational aid is situated on the east bank of the Karnaphuli River, about 3 kilometers from the port city. The tower displays a quick-flashing white light and is maintained by the Chittagong Port Authority.
