The Cabo de Torres Lighthouse is an octagonal masonry tower standing 12 meters tall, built in 1924. It features a lantern and gallery and is attached to a substantial two-story keeper's complex. This structure replaced a 9-meter masonry tower previously on site. Its focal height reaches 82 meters, casting a white light with two flashes every 10 seconds. The lighthouse is located on a sharp headland that marks the western entrance to the harbor of Gijón, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the city's nearest port. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.
