A cylindrical concrete tower, painted white, stands 12 meters tall. This lighthouse is situated on the eastern end of a gravel training wall within the Yangtze River. This wall serves to contain a shoal area and is often submerged. The light emits a yellow flash every 2 seconds. Its focal height is 15 meters, providing a geographic range of 11.9 nautical miles. The site is accessible by boat, but the tower itself is closed to the public. The nearest port, Baoshan, is 2.5 kilometers away.
