Constructed in 1876, the Bird Rock Lighthouse is a white conical tower made of masonry. It rises 30.5 meters in height, with its light positioned 34 meters above sea level. The distinctive illumination pattern consists of two white flashes repeating every 15 seconds. This light had a geographic range of 22 nautical miles. The lighthouse has been temporarily out of service since 2015.
