It features a square, single-story concrete equipment room and stands 13 meters above sea level. The post emits a green flash every three seconds. Its site is open to the public, though the tower itself remains closed. The light has a geographic range of 11.3 nautical miles.
Why it matters: This light warns mariners of the western extent of the detached breakwater, facilitating safe entry into Ashiya harbor and transit at the Onga River mouth.
