This white concrete lighthouse stands 11 meters tall, with its focal plane at 14 meters. The structure consists of an 11-meter concrete post attached to a square, single-story concrete equipment room, all centered on a large, round stone pier. It emits a single green flash every three seconds and has a geographic range of 11.6 nautical miles. Operational since 1908, the lighthouse is situated at the end of a long groin on the north side of the entrance to Ōmuta city in the Ariake Sea. The nearest port, Miike, is located just 0.1 kilometers away.
