This red concrete post structure, standing 8.5 meters tall, was built in 1968. It featured a single-story concrete equipment shelter at its base. The lighthouse was situated on the west breakwater of Aomori harbor. It served as a navigational aid for vessels entering and exiting the timber port. The light was first activated in 1968 and remained operational until 2012.
