The Annisquam Harbor Light Station was constructed in 1801 and first lit in the same year. The tower stands 12.5 meters tall, with its focal plane at 13.5 meters above sea level. This light station displays a white and red light. It is situated on Wigwam Point, within the Annisquam neighborhood of Gloucester, Massachusetts, and can be seen from Wingaersheek Beach. The light is operational and identified by Admiralty number LLNR 9615.
Why it matters: This lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the four oldest lights surrounding the Gloucester peninsula.
