About Wollae-ri South Breakwater Lighthouse
Also known as: Wolnae-ri
This white, cylindrical concrete tower stands 10 meters tall on the south breakwater, extending into the sea. Its stairway is located at the base. The light source is positioned 11 meters above sea level and emits a green flash every 5 seconds. This structure marks the entrance to a local harbor. While the site is open for visitors, the tower itself is closed to the public.
Why it matters: The lighthouse is significant for assisting local fishing boats and smaller vessels entering and exiting the harbor protected by the Wollae-ri breakwater.
