A hexagonal white concrete tower measuring 10 meters in height is situated on a shoal within the Tingzi Channel. The light source, set at 12 meters above sea level, produces a white flash every two seconds, observable up to 11 nautical miles. This reference point is located about 2 kilometers northeast of the Tīngzishān lighthouse and roughly 6 kilometers by water from Liuheng, the closest port. While the grounds are open for visits, access to the tower is not permitted.
Why it matters: The lighthouse marks a shoal in the Tingzi Channel, providing a navigation aid for ships passing through this busy waterway.
