The Honavar lighthouse is a 24-meter tall square skeletal tower constructed of steel. It is painted with red and white horizontal bands. The Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships (DGLL) took ownership in 2007, but the lighthouse has been inactive since 2009. It is located near the Honavar port, 0.7 km away.
